We've cancelled the motorhome… This all happened last week. We started thinking if it was meant to be why hasn't it come in? We were told in June 2021 it would arrive in January 2022. Then it became March 2022. Then April. Then who knows when.
Chris and I had been dreaming about the motorhome for so long. It felt like the perfect vehicle for our new adventurous life — the freedom to go wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted, with everything we needed right there with us. But the supply chain issues just kept pushing the delivery date back and back.
After months of waiting, we sat down and had a proper conversation about it. Was this really the right path for us? Were we holding on to an idea that just wasn't meant to be right now?
And then, almost out of nowhere, we started talking about caravans. We'd never really considered a caravan before — it always felt a bit more traditional, less adventurous somehow. But the more we talked about it, the more sense it made.
A caravan gives you so much flexibility. You can unhitch and explore in your car. You can leave it on a site and go off for the day without worrying about parking a huge vehicle. And the range of caravans available these days is incredible — they're so well designed and comfortable.
So we went to look. And within a week, we had bought a beautiful caravan AND a new car to tow it. It all happened so fast it made our heads spin!
I won't pretend there wasn't a moment of panic — that's a significant investment and a big change of plan. But sometimes life redirects you for a reason. And I genuinely believe this is going to be the start of some incredible adventures.
