How To Break Through Your Fear
How to break through fear?
Have you ever been afraid to put yourself out there and get ahead?
You know you have to, but you’re frightened of doing it.
Stay with me, because that’s what I’m going to talk about today. I want to raise your awareness that you’re not on your own when you’re facing fears. Fear of doing what you need to do to get head, or to reach another level.
Your Fears
You know you need to put yourself out there.
To let people know you’re there and what you do.
You know you need to do videos, but you’re afraid.
And you also might be afraid of what could go wrong.
A fear of looking silly, a fear of what people will think of you.
And also, sometimes, you might have something that’s happened in the past that’s stopping you going forward.
For instance, you’ve tried something before and it didn’t work out. You’re subconsciously frightened that it won’t work out this time either.
You know you need to push because you want to get ahead, but you’re worried what will happen if you really go for it. Worried you might fail, losing your reputation.
Being afraid you can’t handle the struggle.
Or, you go through all that effort and it doesn’t turn out well.
Those are fears that a lot of people face on a daily basis.
I know it’s scary.
When I first did a video, I was hovering, not daring to switch the record button on.
It can be scary when you haven’t got the finances that you want, or you’re stressed and overwhelmed.
Each morning when you get up, you might think, “Oh gosh I’ve got to face all this, again.”
How To Break Through Fear
- Remember, it’s normal to feel fear. You are not alone. When something is new it’s only natural to feel some fear.
- Stay busy. Having too much time on your hands can lead to overthinking and dwelling on things too much.
- Do what you are scared to do and watch your confidence grow.
- Get out of your comfort zone and make yourself do what you believe you can’t.
One of the things I do as a high-performance coach is to explore your fears with you, to try and get to the bottom of what it is.
When you’ve invested so much time, energy and effort into what you’re trying to do, it’s scary if you don’t have the support that you need.
You might not get the support of your partner, or your friends, or your family. And that’s where having a coach can really help you because you’ve got somebody there that are cheering you on and helping you to look at what you could do differently, and what you could actually do to move forward.
It’s being conscious of it that matters because sometimes being aware of what’s holding you back, of what fears you’ve got, can be the answer for you to reach that next level.
I can help you show up more consistently, overcome your fears, and really put yourself out there, to make that difference that you want to make in your life.
