De-Stressing Tips For Busy Women
De-stressing is something we all need to do to keep our sanity every day. Being stressed affects our life, our personal health and our happiness. You can’t think straight, you struggle to enjoy anything and probably can’t switch off before bed.
Physically, you can put on weight. Even your hair can fall out and generally, stress can make us feel unwell.
If you’re a woman who is busy with work, family and friends then you need de-stressing help to keep you sane and happy but also productive.
Women Have A Lot On
We juggle work, home, family and friends all week long and forget to look after ourselves. If you’re a parent you struggle getting the kids off to school and two nights a week little Jonny is at band practice. Emma might be at dance classes on a Wednesday and she has cooking today so she needs all the ingredients packing in her school bag.
You got your business or work to attend to and your partner wants you to spare some time for a date night.
Oh and the dogs need a walk and they have an appointment at the vet today.
Ok, I might be going over the top here but you get my gist?
“What about some time for YOU?”
If you don’t get some de-stressing techniques you’re going to feel ragged and worn out and start to feel tired and fed up, wondering how you are going to cope.
Lets Do Some De-Stressing Together
Finding “me” time, relaxing and unwinding is critical for our health and happiness. If we pay attention to ourselves we can juggle everything if we feel good. We can get those jobs done, balance our career/business with home life and be happy doing it.
Take Some Breaks
Make sure during the day you take little breaks in the day even if its for only two minutes. Set a timer for every 50 minutes and do some stretches, get a drink of water and do some deep breathing.
Write things Down
Use a journal and write down how you feel. I find it therapeutic to jot down my feelings. It feels like I’ve offloaded to someone else.
Go For A Walk
Get some fresh air for 10 minutes and go for a walk in the sunshine. ( if there is some sunshine lol). You can switch off and enjoy being on your own for a few minutes and enjoy the world around you. Take the dog if you have one.
BathTime
Lock yourself in the bathroom and enjoy a long shower or a soak in the bathtub. Get those candles lit, have some soft music and relax.
Bedtime
Make sure you wind down before bedtime. Your sleep is important and if you don’t get enough you will wake up feeling terrible and stressed all day.
My coach advises to avoid looking at your phones, Ipads, computers an hour in the morning and an hour before bed. If you can do this, it will help you to switch off.
Take Daily Supplements
Since taking daily supplements I have felt tons better. I encourage you to take some yourself. Unless your diet is super efficient we all need some health supplements to help us feel well. Check out the ones I take here.
End Thoughts
Stress can cause havoc in your life. It can make you feel ill, unable to cope and generally overwhelmed.
In no time at all you CAN find time to relax and chill out – even if you’re a busy woman.
Choose one or two of the de-stressing techniques mentioned above and use them throughout your day to be less stressed and enjoy life more!

Working on multiple tasks on a consistent basis is undoubtedly stressful. Unplugging ourselves once in a while with our cellphones is one best way to alleviate stress.
I agree about the phones. Sometimes they are like a magnet but its good to just unplug from them now and then. Thanks for commenting Jelena
Goodness we all need ME time Lynda. Recharges the battery. Been waking at 5 AM due to jet lag but what a gift. 1 hour of yoga, some meditation and now at 8 AM I feel like my work day is half over before seeing another soul save my wife LOL.
Hi Ryan, we definitely do need that ME time. You sound like you have it sorted ha ha. Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it. We bloggers love them dont we.
