Why Should You Revisit Your True Purpose Every Day?

Why Should You Revisit Your True Purpose Every Day?Why Should You Revisit Your True Purpose Every Day?

Why should you revisit your true purpose every day?  For one thing, its so easy to go off your focus if you don’t remind yourself of your purpose.

Technology, for instance,  can cause us to forget the emotion and spirituality of what we want to do – the meaning of our work.

I know we lead busy lives but generating your purpose can be done each morning.

When you’re busy you forget to sleep well, eat well, have no exercise and you stop “feeling” your vision or purpose.

Believe me, I know how easy it is, I’ve been through it myself.

There are some important questions y0u can ask yourself to see where you’re at.

QUESTIONS TO ASK

How are you showing up to your work, to the day?

Are you actually living and feeling your purpose or are you going through the motions?

Are you regularly reminding yourself of your mission or purpose?

Have you ever felt OFF purpose?

Purpose, The Meaning Of Our Work/Life

If your work doesn’t feel fun anymore, try connecting it to your real purpose otherwise it won’t feel meaningful anymore.

Talk to yourself in the third person sometimes and stop feeling the dread.  When there is the dread you have lost connection to your purpose.

Think of your mind like a flowing river, so tap into your purpose along with the flow.

If you have been OFF purpose for a while ask if there were choices or decisions you made that disconnected you from it.  Identifying what knocks us off track is important.  Knowledge of what caused it is half the battle.

It might help to know that most people have times when they are off their game.

Take Time To Reflect

Remember a time when you were feeling very purposeful.  How were you feeling at the time?

What are some of the things you’re not doing when you feel purposeful in your life?

Maybe it is something you should have said no to.

Reflections on your feelings are so important.

Do the people in your life understand what your purpose is and relate to it?

Begin to talk more about the future and be more optimistic.  Optimists are happier, healthier, and deal with stress faster.

If people hear you often enough they begin to listen to more and you won’t feel uncomfortable talking about your purpose anymore.

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE STATEMENT?

It will remind you WHO TO BE, WHAT TO DO and the REASONS YOU ARE DOING IT,

“Purpose isnt a concept that you ‘have’, its something you are enacting, something you ultimately define not find”

– Brendon Burchard

Spend some time working on YOUR purpose statement.
