Using Affirmations To Improve Your Self Esteem.

January 19, 2015 by Lynda Kenny Leave a Comment

I think that no matter how old you are you can always improve yourself, including your self esteem. Many baby boomers or people of any age for that matter, have been beaten down, and do not have the self esteem they need to move forward with starting a Home Based Business or making money online in any way.

You need to be more positive about your life in general if you expect to make money from a business, either online or offline.  I know from personal experience that combining blogging with Affiliate Marketing and Network Marketing can get discouraging.

You can expect to sometimes feel the same, so how you deal with rejection and frustration will play a role in how successful you can be.

One way to build your self esteem is to use positive affirmations.

Here are some tips on writing affirmations that will feed your mind with positive thoughts!

1. Write in present tense.

Don’t say I will as though it is going to happen in the future. Instead say I choose. This puts you in the present tense and not the future. I choose to be successful is better then writing I will be successful.

2. Believe what you write.

Say “I am learning everyday how to become a better blog writer”. This is better then saying “I am a great blogger” which you may not believe is true. You know what is real and what is not.

3. Set the correct tone.

Write with emotion so when you read it you get fired up.  This is better than writing like you are a news reporter or a journalist.  Inject feeling into what you write. Your subconscious mind loves that.

4. Repeat yourself.

Once you have written positive affirmations read them several times a day. Your subsconscious mind is bombarded with negative thoughts all day long. This is one reason why you can have low self esteem. Reading positive thoughts over and over helps to re-program your mind so you are not thinking negatively about yourself.

5. It takes time.

You have no doubt heard the phrase, “Rome wasn’t build in a day” and this  applies to improving your self esteem. Only you know how much room you have to grow. It could take you weeks, or even months to start becoming more positive.

What you must not do is give up.  Stick with it.  Over time you will start to feel more positive, and even more happy.  Embrace this because it is proof your positive self affirmations are working!

Good luck with writing your own affirmations today.

I trust you got some value from todays post and if you did please leave me a comment below and share your thoughts.  I also don’t mind if you share it with people who you think may get some value themselves.

Warmest regards
