Lynda’s Tuesday Musings
I was reading a book the other day, a novel, and the main character decided to write about her daily life on a blog. She thought no one would ever read it so she included everything about her personal life.
Unbeknown to her, lots of people began reading it and to her astonishment, it became viral. So much so, a few magazines approached her to write articles for them.
I would totally love it if my own blog went viral. In fact, it got me thinking that maybe my articles were just plain dull or uninteresting.
Being a coach, I write about what I think people want to read. Mainly about personal and professional development for growing their business.
Do you ever stop and look at what people say and how they act? I know I do, and it astounds me how some people really think.
If we don’t really understand how we act, what we say and what we do, how it affects others, then it shouts out to me that they need to pay attention to their growth as a person.
Have you noticed, during this current crisis, how different people are coping with the stress? Some are panicking, think toilet rolls. Others are taking it in their stride.
I live in an open space where I can get fresh air. However, my heart goes out to those who are cooped up in apartments with young children.
We are all different and in various scenarios, but the constant is our human behavior, not just during the crisis of COV-19 but all the time.
It’s been a life’s journey for me, working with people and if I can help just one person then it’s worth its weight in gold.
Getting back to “interesting” articles I think relating them to “real” life is what people relate to. Something that resonates and they think “Wow she is talking about me”.
To be continued.

So very true! For me your articles aren’t boring, however I can see how the person you speak of from the book had her daily blogs go viral. Many people seem to enjoy reading/watching other peoples life’s because they are too afraid of their own?
I think especially now more are tuning in to what they think about and how they think more. I know from personal experiences that even my 16-year-old and 12-year-old children have taken further looks into their own lives and are doing things to build foundations for different eventualities etc.
I look forward to your ‘to be continued…’
Hi Matt, thanks so much for commenting. I think you’re absolutely right about people enjoying others’ lives plus reflecting on their own right now. I love that your children are looking at things differently too. I am still musing about the “continued” lolol
