How To Structure A Powerful Webinar
Webinar marketing is huge these days, alongside videos and live broadcasts. If you can conquer your nerves to do any kind of broadcast you can rest assured that your business and brand will grow quicker than those who don’t do them.
Before delving into the platform you would use to hold a webinar or the actual structure of one lets look at what they are.
What Is A Webinar?
A webinar is a bit like a conference call done over the internet. The difference is you get vision of the screen and the audio. Most presenters have powerpoint presentations that they share with participants and its a great way to connect with your audience to get your message across.
The other advantage of course is you can invite people from all over the world to attend and they never have to leave their homes to attend.
Many people use webinars for selling products and presenting information and others use them for training purposes. You can have them recorded and use them later on again.
Webinar can also be used to build your network marketing team and you can help your team by running what is known as opportunity webinars where you present information about your MLM.
Webinars are very powerful things to do and many top marketers and companies use them in their business. In fact, many would say it essential to find the courage to do them believing your business can be taken to another level.
Structure of The Webinar.
- Have a Big Benefit Title
- Begin with some engagement and interaction with your audience (whose on, where are they from etc)
- Ask an emotional/beneficial question – eg. How would you feel if……….
- Brief bit about you – not too much or you will lose people
- Tell the audience what they will learn and if you are selling warn them about the upcoming offer
- Deliver your content/ with engagement
- Ask them if they are getting value and before the Q & A
- Make your offer
- Offer any bonuses you might have
- Walk them through the purchase (people need to be told what to do sometimes)
- Q & A
One of the best courses I know that will explain this even further is the Presenting For Profits Course by Ray Higdon
What Platform Should You Use?
There are many different platforms. I use Go To Webinar.
There is also Webinar Jam and if you check out google you will find many other resources for doing webinars.
Some marketers have used Google Hangouts in the past and of course now there is live broadcasting available through Periscope and Facebook Live. However, for Webinars I would suggest a webinar platform. It all depends on your budget as the services are not free.
Be Prepared
Its best to know what subject your webinar is about and for you to be fully prepared with your presentation. One of the best things you can do is to prepare some kind of visuals like a power point presentation. Practice before the event so you are clear exactly what you want to say and make your own notes.
If you are technically challenged or worried about technical problems on the night/day then get someone to help you. I have someone who I make a co-organiser so I know that should there be a technical problem or any kind of issue I have got someone keeping an eye on it for me, leaving me to concentrate on the presentation.
I know this all may sound a bit complicated and for anyone who hasn’t done one before it can be. However, with practice you can do it especially if you overcome any fears about speaking in public. Everyone gets nervous, I know I do. However, sometimes the things that make the most uncomfortable are the things that will make us more successful.
