Self Promotion: Its Not Always Easy
Self promotion is not always easy is it? Loving ourselves and valuing our strengths is what we should all be doing. However its also easy to sound arrogant.
Let me tell you what inspired this blog post.
I was asked the other day why someone would work with me rather than anyone else. What had I got to offer that might appeal to others?
It’s never the easiest thing to talk about ourselves is it? I’ve always found it easier to build others up and talk about their great qualities.
The thing is, if we want to do something we have to sell ourselves otherwise people don’t know anything about us.
I decided to share it with you so that you too can begin to work out YOUR unique selling points that set you apart.
Self Promotion – Some of My Unique Selling Points
My selling point is firstly, my life experience my career. I am a wife, parent and grandmother so I have been on the planet a while, becoming wiser with age.
I am a qualified Social Worker.
As a Social Worker I had to be capable of working alone as well as within a team.
Good communication was essential.
As was being relatable to people from all walks of life.
********************************************
Before my career as a Social Worker I was a broke single parent. I know what its like to be without.
Struggling to make ends meet is tough. However, it toughened me up and made me determined to get out of the poverty trap.
********************************************
I began a business from scratch in my kitchen.
I went from being a practicing Social Worker to becoming a Board Member, Executive Director and Shareholder of the Company.
You can read more of my story in my book Turning Poverty Into Success.

When working with me I will strive to make you feel happier, more engaged with others and see things much differently.
For anyone not into personal Development this will seem a load of bunkum.
Those that just want to make money will see it as a waste of time.
The insightful ones though will see that if they work on it, they will have the money they want in life.
They will make life changes to get the things they desire.
And they will work at that promotion at work or grow their business.
I haven’t met a successful person yet who hasn’t worked on themselves .
Ok some might get there but are they truly happy?
Are they satisfied or did they sacrifice a good family life to get far in their work.
I can show you how to have both.
Why Self Promotion Is Valuable For YOU
If you make a list as suggested above about your great qualities AND you work on your personal growth, things will change for the better.
Love yourself and don’t be afraid to state your experience and how it can be of value to someone else.
Decide to have a coach. Find someone you can relate to, someone you can feel confident in.
Be determined about what you want in life and go for it.
Have someone in your life cheering you on.
