How to Boost Self Esteem And Confidence
Self esteem, or lack of it, affects more of us than we realise and in todays post I want to demonstrate why it matters in our “whole” life, personal and business.
Many of us make an assumptions that people at the top of their game in business are those with a high level of confidence and self esteem.
Quite often people are striving for perfection in their lives and business is one area where they can shine. It doesn’t mean though that they are shining in other areas of their life.
Acording to Dr Joe Rubino most of our actions in life are built on the belief that we are not good enough. That somehow we are unworthy of being loved and accepted.
Have you ever felt this way?
Not good enough, not fully loved or accepted?
You might ask what this has to do with business.
Self Esteem And Why It Matters To Your Life AND Business
Lack of self esteem can affect our confidence in everything we do. The moment we hit obstacles we convince ourselves we are not good enough. This is a big reason why people quit their business before they have even got going.
Our lack of esteem can affect our relationships, our health… everything.
The good news is if you are someone experiencing a lack of self esteem, it can be reversed in three steps:-
- Heal your past so it no longer robs you
- Analyse your current status and life
- Wave that magic wand and design the future you want.
Firstly, ask yourself when you began feeling “not good enough”.
If you don’t feel perfect thats totally ok.
Perfection is not something any of us can obtain. Realise its just not possible. Once you realise this you will be surprised how much better it will make you feel.
Everyone one of us has strengths and weaknesses. Write down what yours are.
Work on your strengths and find a way to develop them further. Write down how you are going to do that.

Remember this….. you are good enough. You are a valuable human being and you matter. If you don’t believe in yourself you can’t ask anyone else to. Once you overcome any low confidence or self esteem issues you can change your life for the better and become someone who helps others to do the same. Your attitude to business and life will improve and the success you are looking for will begin to appear.
I will end this with the words of Dr Joe Rubino:
We can choose to do so in a way that excites us, as we cast off that gloomy state of low self-esteem, unhealthy resignation and self-pity that no longer supports us. We can live with the intention to honor our God-given magnificence and lead happy, fulfilled lives that fully contribute to others as we share our gifts with the world.

Thanks so much Lynette. Glad you liked the post.
Lovely! When I hear self-esteem it provokes a certain feeling in me. I believe it is about self-worth. Most people I ask what they are worth do not have ready answers about it. For me, self-esteem is about knowing what you are worth. People need to experience self-improvement, understand life, learn to be unique, engage in physical activities, believe in themselves and be generous to build a high self-esteem. Great post. It surely is adding value.
Hello Charles , firstly thank you so much for stopping by and taking the trouble to leave me a comment. Secondly thank you for what you said. I totally agree with you about self improvement and the need to work on ourselves more. Lynda xxx
