Reflections: 7 Quotes To Inspire And Motivate You For 2017Reflections: 7 Quotes To Inspire And Motivate You For 2017

Reflections on the past year is something many of us do when we are coming to the end of December.  It might have been a year you would like to kiss goodbye to.  Maybe its been a fantastic year for you as well.  Whatever the case may be, before the New Year bells begin to chime, it is a good time to reflect on the year and make plans for the the next one coming.

I have found 7 quotes that will inspire and motivate you while you are considering your reflections on 2016.

Reflections: 7 Quotes

Life can only be understood backwards but it must be lived forwards – Soren Kierkegaard

We always see our worst selves.  Our most vulnerable selves.  We need someone else to get close enough to tell us we’re wrong.  Someone we trust. – David Levithian

All truly great thoughts are conceived while walking – Freidrich Nietzsche

Sometimes, you have to look back in order to understand the things that lie ahead. – Yvonne Woon

Just as a snake sheds it skin, we must shed our past over and over again – Gautama Buddha

A New Year Quotereflections

The New Year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written.  We can help write that story by setting goals. – Melody Beattie.

I could have found many more quotes for the purpose of this blog post today.  What I think it demonstrates is the need to do your own reflections on this past year.  It will assist you to evaluate everything you have done, anything thats happened and what you could have done differently.

Once you have reflected on everything, then you can begin to make plans for the new year ahead.  Ask yourself questions.  Plan your goals in small bites.  For instance you will have yearly goals, monthly goals, weekly goals and daily goals.  By breaking them down into bite size chunks you will know exactly what you need to do each day to achieve what you plan.

A short post today but one that will hopefully inspire and motivate you to do your own reflections and make 2017 a good, productive and positive year for you and your loved ones.

    Hi Lynda,

Love that Buddha quote! He knew a thing or 2 ;) I find myself shedding my past, not just last year, but the last 41 years I have lived on planet earth. Letting go fear-based states of mind to make room for loving, caring thoughts, and building my life on these feelings. Letting go has helped me grow immensely.

Hi Ryan, I love your comments because I always know you put so much thought into them. I agree, Buddha did know a thing or two, lol. How awesome that you have lived by the words by letting go. Thanks so much Ryan for coming and leaving a comment. As a big blogger yourself you know how much it’s appreciated. Lynda xxxx
