One Of Those Days? – Are You Having One Today?
One of those days was yesterday for me. I would be lying to you if I said I never had days where I couldn’t get my brain into gear or even motivated to think clearly.
Do you have those days?
When you have one of those days, it’s easy to feel negative about what you are doing.
I find when I am feeling that way that I “nit pick” more and find the negative in everything I see.
I don’t feel good enough anymore and want to quit what I am doing.
Do you have “one of those days” often?
If you are working from home, staying motivated with a positive mindset is probably one of the most important areas of your business you should pay attention to.
What To Do When You Have One Of Those Days
Firstly, lets face it; it would be so easy to quit. Too easy!
Think of why you decided to work from home and have a home business.
Work some more on your vision. Is it strong enough? If it doesn’t pull you in the right direction, you should work on it some more.
Listen to some personal development training on audio, even if only for 15 minutes
Watch a motivational video.
Look for the positive.
Remember the saying “Seek and you shall find” If you constantly look for the negative you WILL find it.
Read a few passages in one of your favourite books
Take some time out for reflection. It is sometimes positive to step back a little.
A Time For Reflection (copy of a Facebook Post I did)
Its good to sometimes take a step back and reflect. Not on how far you have to go. How far you have come.
It is easy to lose sight of how much you have learned and what skills you possess when you are going through a tough time.
If you look around at some of the questions new people are asking, it can make you realise how much you have learned already.
Its always good to remain a student, absorbing information as you go forward but remember what you already know and how you can help others by teaching your knowledge to them.
When I am struggling on a particular subject or I am having a day when I feel I know nothing, I remind myself how much I have learned.
I go through my notes (I have stacks of them) and it triggers more positive feelings and gives me a boost.
Find out what works for you and value the knowledge you already have. There are plenty of people around who will be hungry for what you can share.
When you next have “one of those days” try some of the things I have suggested.
Failing that, reach out to your coach or mentor.
If you don’t have one you might consider that for the coming 2017.
We all need to be accountable and have someone to hold our hand occasionally.
