MLM Downline Explained
Let’s discuss what an MLM downline is. If you are in a network marketing company you must understand what it is and how it works.
A MLM downline is a phrase used in network marketing to describe members that have been recruited in the MLM company. It is the lifeblood of growing your MLM business.
1. Personal recruits in your MLM Downline
When you personally sponsor somebody into your business they go on your front line. You can build as wide of a group as you want depending on the amount of effort you want it put into personal recruiting.
2. Working in depth.
When new distributors are sponsored by people that you personally recruit they go into your downline. When those people sponsor new distributors your downline grows even deeper.
The more people you have working in your MLM downline the larger your business is going to become.
This act of duplication is one of the keys to growing a large business.
Leveraging your timing comes from having hundreds or thousands of people in your MLM downline all purchasing and selling products.
Some people think of an MLM downline as a pyramid scheme.
In reality the thing that makes this not a pyramid scheme is although somebody is in your downline they can actually overtake you in the MLM compensation plan. They can make more money than you when they build a larger group than yours.

The Product Matters in your MLM Downline
Growing your MLM Downline and team is important, of course it is. However, the product you are selling is also important. When you are prospecting for your business some people may only be interested in the product you have as opposed to having a home business of their own.
Customers are equally the lifeblood of your business. It is often better to show people what your product does, not what it is. ( a great piece of advice from my Coach Ray Higdon).
For instance, I show people how they can travel more and enjoy competitive prices. Many people love to travel but don’t necessarily want a business. The way our compensation plan works is having customers is as important as recruiting reps for our MLM downline.
