MINDSET: How Everyday Life Events Can Affect Yours.

Mindset: How Everyday Life Events Can Affect YoursMINDSET: How Everyday Life Events Can Affect Yours

Mindset is a word we hear a lot about in trainings and webinars.  When I first began I used to want to skip past that part and get to the HOW of doing things.  I have learned a lot since then and mindset really is key to keeping you on track with your vision and goals.

If things are going right in your life and everything is running smoothly it is easy to have a positive mindset.  Its when things aren’t going right that we need the strength to fight our negative attitude.

Nine times out of ten I have always had a positive attitude, in fact, I work on it constantly.  However, everyday things can happen to all of us that affect our well being.

Mindset:  Everyday Life That Can Affect Us

Things that can happen that are often out of our control:-

Children playing up at school and at home

Illness in the family

Physical injury

Separation and Divorce

Family arguments

Lack of money to pay bills

Household appliances breaking down…………………. Plus many many more

Recently I was at an event in Florida.  As you can imagine if you have ever attended events, everyone was positive and fired up, including me.  Then I got a phone call from my sister telling me my Mother was seriously ill.  Luckily this happened on the last day of the event and I was flying back to Portugal the following day.

Once I returned to Portugal, my husband and me arranged for a road trip back to England so I could be near my Mother and help out.

Since then, my sisters and I have taken turns to look after Mum, staying alternate nights and days to support both her and my Dad.

As you might guess, my whole routine of working and keeping a positive mindset was disrupted massively.

So how do you manage at times like this?

How To Manage Whats Happening In Your Life.

To summarise:

Spare at least an hour a day just for YOU, its ok to have ME time.

Read something motivational and positive

Remember, you are no use to anyone if you are not looking after yourself.

Its mind over matter – keep as positive as you can and don’t be all negative.

Talk to friends who are not emotionally involved.

If you are going through a tough time right now, try to follow the advice I have given in the video.  Its not being selfish if you are looking after number one.  You owe it to yourself to take care of your health and well being, whatever is going on in your life.

I’ve had events happen in my life recently that have turned my world upside down. I didn’t stop working on my business, but I did have to step back and regroup. Yes, reading positive, uplifting material is a must. Thanks for sharing Lynda.

W O W!!! This is so true. You have to learn how to make time for yourself. If you don’t focus on keeping YOUR mental axe (your mind) recharged; you will never be ever to help or take care of others. I have to and is still learning this lesson up until this day. Thank you so much for this POWERFUL reminder and your Mum is in our prayers.
