Holiday Memories Of My Family In Portugal
Holiday memories like the ones we now have are priceless in our lives.
This is my first blog post for a while, so to my regular readers I apologise for being absent for the past few weeks.
I have just had a wonderful 5 weeks with my kids and grandkids, entertaining them at our home in Portugal.
I am sure, at times, I bored everyone with our photos and videos of having a good time. My kids wanted them shared and for their friends to see what a good time they were having.
We did some crazy things, like parasailing and zip wiring across a river from Spain to Portugal.
For me, at 63 years old, it was an achievement. I never had the opportunity when I was younger due to not having the money or confidence to try.
It wasn’t only holiday memories we wanted to create, we also wanted time with our newly adopted grandson who was placed with my daughter last summer. Due to legal hold ups, they couldn’t visit last year, so this year was extra special.
Everyone has left now and I compiled a short video of the fun we had and to keep those holiday memories safe.
Holiday Memories Of My Family In Portugal (Video)
Years ago, when I was a single and broke parent, struggling to make ends meet, I could never have imagined the lifestyle I enjoy today. (Check out my About Me page to learn more – CLICK HERE)
The current lifestyle I enjoy has been as a result of being successful in a previous offline business. However, since the recession, I have worked online so I can continue to enjoy the lifestyle I worked hard for and to supplement losses we had in 2007.
Like many people who have retired or heading for retirement, the pension income is not always enough and so many people are looking for alternative ways of earning more.
A Confession Regarding the Holiday Memories
My holiday memories are priceless to my kids, grandkids, my husband and I. I do have a confession to make though! While busy enjoying them being here and having a fun time I never spent time here on my blog, or emailing my list as often as I usually do.
At times I felt guilty. Not guilty enough though to leave them for a second. Family is the most precious thing in the world.
Time is also short and we should not feel bad making them our priority for a short time in our lives. Yes, business is important, of course it is. However, I work extremely hard the majority of the year so sparing 5 weeks to enjoy the summer with them all was worth every single second.
I am catching up now (writing this blog for one thing, lol) . One thing though…….. due to me having things in place in the background, I am delighted to say that people still reached out to me wanting to know more about my home business and how they too, could have one of their own. I gained leads without having to be stuck in front of my computer 24 hours a day. That is something that works for anyone, once things are set up.
