How To Stop Feeling Like You Aren’t Good Enough

How To Stop Feeling Like You Aren't Good EnoughHow To Stop Feeling Like You Aren’t Good Enough

Not feeling good enough can affect us in many situations.

I have experienced it myself when I didn’t feel good enough to join Ray Higdon in his Top Earner Club Master Mind Coaching Programme.

I talked myself into feeling good enough though and I have never looked back.

In an  age where fame and money are worshiped by many people, even on the internet in the online marketing space, its too easy to believe you are not as good as someone else.

A quote in an article written by Neil Patel the other day resonated with me and led to the creation of this post.

“I believe that every person in the world has value. Whether that individual has a ten-figure net worth or a negative net worth, they have true worth as a human being.” – Neil Patel.

How Can you begin to improve your self worth and feel a valuable person in whatever you are doing?

Steps To Feel Good Enough And Lift Your Self Esteem

How To Stop Feeling Like You Aren't Good Enough

1.   Your Outlook On Life And How To Improve It.

Always remember that satisfaction in life comes from within you.  Begin with looking inwards and see the potential and good you have inside.

Learn to feel good about yourself.

Become more grateful for who you are and what you have.  Be nice to others and show you care.

You have the power impact others in a negative or positive way.  Decide it will be a positive way

Do things for others people, be kind.  I read somewhere that we have a chemical inside our brain called serotonin.  Apparently research has proved this “feel good” chemical is released when we do something good for someone else.

Be less judgemental and see the good in others.  None of us know what they are going through in their life.

2.   Look In The Mirror

Look in the mirror every morning and give yourself a big smile.  I know, I know, if you are anything like me you look a wreck in a morning.  However, this does work.  Look, smile and like yourself.

3.  Practice Affirmations

I wrote a full blog post on Positive Affirmations for success that you can visit – CLICK HERE.

You can make up your own affirmations that you repeat daily .  If you are an entrepreneur like me you can use the following examples:

What I focus on grows and so I focus on my business.

My work makes a difference in this world.

The success of my fellow entrepreneurs fuels me with energy and joy.

My failures have made me a better entrepreneur.

You can use your own.  A good resource for coming up with affirmations are Noah St John and Louise Hay.

4.   Change Your Inner Voice

There are many quotes around about the way we talk to ourselves.  Things like “we become what we think”.  If you tell yourself something often enough you begin to believe it.  Instead of saying “I am not good enough, I will never reach that rank”  say “I am good enough and I will reach that rank”.

Each time a negative thought enters your head, turn it into a positive thought instead.  Practice this all the time and you will believe it more and more and feel better about yourself.

5.  “Comparitis” Is A Disease – Stop It Now

We are all guilty of comparing ourselves to other people, often believing “it ok for them” .  You might think they are prettier than you, richer than you and so on.

In life, there will always be someone who is smarter or richer than you.  There is only one YOU though.  Take some time to write down the strengths you have, the skills you possess and read them every day.    Think about what you have achieved in life and how you have handled situations.

Comparing ourselves to others can lead to negative, jealous feelings and it will stop you going forward.  Stop doing it now and value WHO YOU ARE.

Remember the quote at the beginning –

“I believe that every person in the world has value. Whether that individual has a ten-figure net worth or a negative net worth, they have true worth as a human being.” – Neil Patel.

6.  Value Your Skills

Everyone has certain skills and talents.  Are you putting the ones you have to good use?  Make sure your life has purpose and you are using the assets you have to enrich your life.

When I began working online I put my skills aside.  Since utilising them and bringing them back into my life and current work my inner confidence has grown.  You can do the same.

Become of use to others.  Work from a servant heart.  You will amazed how good it will make you feel.

I will conclude with the one message you need to hear …… YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH.
