3 Things To Consider Before Diving Into your Goals

3 Things To Consider Before Diving Into your Goals3 Things To Consider Before Diving Into your Goals

I know you feel excited about the goals that came to you just now. I feel you. Everybody has had that familiar feeling.  Its like having an adrenalin rush once an idea comes into your head.

But hold your horses; let’s go over your goals first and look at these 3 things to consider.

Before you tire yourself out on something, it’s good to have another look.

Are Your Goals Realistic?

It might sound a bit hard to you but let’s face it, sometimes your ideas may be too weird or sound a bit far fetched.

Is it a goal just inside your head?

Start with smaller goals for now that will eventually lead to the bigger things you want.

A journey starts with the first step.

Learning a new skill could be your goal first before getting to your real goal.

Learn how to walk before you run.

What Are The Potential Problems That Might Prevent You From Achieving Them?

There will always be problems along the way.

I don’t mean to discourage you but just to tell you that these things are normal.

It would be very strange if you didn’t have any.

But before facing them, you can equip yourself and be ready for them by identifying them first.

List down the possible drawbacks you might face. In that way, you won’t be sending yourself to the battle without a weapon.

Have You Made Some Milestones to Review?

Have milestones that you can review every now and then.

Then you will be able to see how far you’ve gone since the first day you started.

This way you will be able to measure how far you’ve come from where you began

It’s also a good way to motivate yourself.

Give yourself a pat on the back once in a while, it will boost your confidence.

A Last Thought

If you have reviewed all of these during your goal-setting and if you can confidently say that your path is laid out, then go and make them happen.

Don’t let anything hold you back from the vision you have created for your future.

If you haven’t set a vision you might find this post helpful Creating A Vision For Your Life And Business

Start small but dream big.

Be ready for anything that will come along the way.

And lastly, reward yourself from time to time for everything you’ve gone through.

My goals are not realistic. My goals are beyond realistic. I will have to BECOME the better version of me to achieve what I have decided to achieve.

At least you know that and are aware of it Trudy. So many people are not realistic and set themselves up to fail. You are not one of them. You know what needs to happen to achieve what you want which is totally awesome
