How I Began To Generate Leads For Free
To generate leads for free you need to learn the best way to do this. I have found it a process that took sometime to master but once I did I realised what had been missing in my marketing before.
Todays post is to assist you, showing you what process I followed to enable you to generate leads of your own in a similar way.
Generate Leads – What Is Your Main Marketing Hub?
The main hub that I use is what you are reading now – my Blog. Many people are successful in marketing without one. However, I will share a quote from my coach:
“You don’t need to blog. You also don’t need to dominate” – Ray Higdon
Ok, you don’t need a blog. IF you want to dominate the market place having a blog will help you to do so.
If you use Social Media, use whatever platform (s) you prefer as “spokes” to direct people to your blog.
Blogging To Generate Leads
Generating leads is the WHOLE purpose of your blog, PLUS getting people on your email list.
Once I realised and understood this fully I knew why I hadn’t been doing so in the past. I generate leads almost daily now, without paying for them.
What did I do differently?
Firstly, I have to begin by saying I invested in my education by hiring a coach. I also purchased a course on blogging so I could learn what to do the right way.
Tips
- Make sure your banner highlights YOU, what you do and the benefits you are providing to your audience.
- Work out WHO your audience is so you can write articles and do videos that will benefit them in some way
- Provide good content on a regular basis (at least 3-5 times a week) that gives VALUE
- Have a good FREE GIVEAWAY – something that a person will exchange their details for. Simply asking them to sign up to your newsletter isn’t enough. It needs to be something they cannot resist.
Once I began implementing the above, my leads began to arrive.
The first giveaway I used didn’t work very well so I changed it. This is something you have to do. Tweak things until they begin working for you.
When you have set things up on your blog, you need somewhere to put your leads. This is when you need whats known as an auto responder so you can email your leads on a regular basis. Its the one proven way of building a relationship with people you have attracted into your business. I personally use AWEBER, however there are many others available.
Remember – waiting for things to be totally perfect will slow you down. Go ahead and do it, you can always correct things later. My blog has evolved and changed many times over the last few years and each time I make little improvements.
The key thing is to get started and the quicker you begin to generate leads of your own the more satisfaction you are going to feel.

Thanks Lynda, I have been doubting the value of my blog even after having it rebranded.

Maybe review your other activities and ask if they are profit making ones. Even so if you use social media, that is awesome and a way to point people to your blog.
