The Exciting Frontier Of Professional Blogging
Professional blogging is a fairly new idea with a lot of potential for entrepreneurs who have insight, drive and a basic understanding of today’s web technology.
The amount of so-called pro bloggers are still quite small, and there are very few people who make a living entirely off their blogs. (Unless you are someone like my coach and mentor Ray Higdon of course, who has grown his business to massive proportions with his blog).
What is Blogging?
Blog is short for weblog. I just learned this myself and it was only three years ago that I didn’t even know what a blog was. I am serious, lol.
Basically, what a web-log (blog) is – is a series of online posts presented in reverse order. Thats all! Most blogs are text however there are many photo blogs and video blogs nowadays.
This blog you are reading now, is a mixture of the various things. I include text, photos and quite often videos. I use my blog to promote myself to create a personal brand for my home business. You can use YOUR blog for whatever you want to.
What about Professional Blogging?
Despite what I said above, more and more people are managing to turn their blogs into cash cows that supplement their income. The number of professional bloggers is growing all the time and for now, it seems to be continuing to grow.
Many bloggers want to enter the sphere of professional blogging. There are very few people who are happy to devote an hour or more a day to their blog without wishing that they could earn some kind of reward financially, for all their work.
Some people earn money through selling advertising space through Google or with another company that wants to reach the demographics of certain blogs. However, not many can make a comfortable living just selling space on their sidebars.
Who Reads Blogs?
A lot of people who read blogs are themselves bloggers, probably because they are interested in what other writers are doing. This explains why the people who succeed in the world of professional blogging are mostly people who have devoted themselves to learning about, talking about, and writing about blogging. More than any other topic, pro bloggers turn their attention to the phenomenon of blogging itself. A bit like I am doing with this post for instance.
A lot of pro bloggers make the topic of blogging the ongoing focus of their blogs.
My coach and mentor, Ray Higdon has designed a fantastic course for bloggers. This is as a result of his success as a professional blogger and his desire to share that knowledge with other would be bloggers, in order for them to have similar success. You can access that course right here by CLICKING THIS TEXT Its called the 3 minute expert and I have to say, right now, its the best course on blogging that I have come across. Put it this way, I wish it had been around when I began my blogging journey.
The Future of Professional Blogging
Who knows what the future may be. It may become more complicated in the future. At the moment, pro bloggers who attract the largest audiences and make the most money are providing great advice to amateur bloggers. As things expand and more people blog, using improved software and technology who knows who will reap the most financial rewards 5 or 10 years down the road.
Like everything else, change is inevitable and the world of Professional blogging will experience constant change. That is what makes it so exciting.

Seriously Ron, when I first began I did not know what a blog was. Thats why I included this simple explanation in case there was someone out there like me. Web – log makes so much sense now and I understand where the name blog came from.
