#6 Tips for Marketing to Baby Boomers

Boomer Entrepreneurs - What About An MLM BusinessBaby Boomers represent one of the largest markets anywhere and are considered a Trillion dollar market.  If you could capture even the tiniest little piece of that market, your income stream will stagger you.

A Trillion?  That’s 12 zeros for your market demographics.

Because of some of the characteristics of the Baby Boomer generation, your marketing techniques will have to change dramatically if you want to quit counting the zeros in a trillion and start actively marketing to Boomers.

If you have been marketing online for a time, you probably have more than one well-designed template for carrying your marketing campaigns.  Maybe you’ve already started making enough money to consider buying a new car and think you can market to anyone.

If you are considering Baby Boomers as a niche that needs your product (s), you might want to rethink that mindset.  Generic, online marketing includes a sale page with an attention-grabbing headline, a compelling list of benefits and several calls to action. You will also need fresh content and some bonus giveaways to lure the opt-in you want.  Your focus is driving traffic to your sales page.

That template and focus will not work as well with Baby Boomers.  They (we, I am one) probably grew up before you were born and have a very different attitude about life in general that carries over to their buying habits.  We have a set of values that has been developed over the last 50-60 years and a firm belief in how things should be done. Are you financially ready?

Boomers want to deal with marketers directly, face to face.  What they are going to buy has to fill a real need or have a meaningful effect in their lives or they won’t buy it.  Raw materialism is not the normal trait or mindset for boomers.  This target market matured with old fashioned values intact and they will stick to them.

Your goal as an online marketer is to recognise the differences in specific markets and to create new techniques that address those differences directly.

Remember, the 12 zeros and start thinking creatively.

Since online marketing is not face to face, you will have to devise a way to create a powerful sales letter that is personable enough to deter clicks off your pages.  That will not be an easy task because your potential customers could be any age, eve 80 years old.  Do not make the mistake of thinking age will keep Boomers off the web.

In todays video I list #6 tips for marketing to Baby Boomers and I know they will help you tremendously to reach this valuable market.

The Baby Boomer Market is a hot market for savvy marketers.  Pay attention to the specific needs of this market and you will be well rewarded.
