6 Great Ideas For Blog Posts
When thinking of creating blog posts, like everyone else I am sure you might struggle to think of content on a daily basis.
In todays post I wanted to give you some ideas for your blog posts to help you out so you don’t struggle again in the future.
-
Review Blog Posts
In this type of post you can review both free and paid products. Try not to be afraid to compare and mention negatives and do it in a positive way. Its not our job to “slam” anything. What we should be doing is a constructive and balanced view.
People love these types of blog posts. Anything you use or have done research on is suitable. Possibly leave a link so they can look at it or buy it even.
2. Personal Stories and Journey

everyone has a story
Most people love blog posts that tell of your personal story and journey to where you are now. Don’t be afraid to post personal things about your journey. Share where you have been and where you are going. Its also helpful in your blog posts to let people know what didn’t work for you. The most important thing when telling your story is to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and write for THEM so they can see the benefits.
3. Recognition Posts
Writing blog posts where you recognise someone else will help you to build alliances and allows you to give credit to their work. It will also lead to others linking back to your post. Most people work for recognition before they make any money and you sharing their journey and successes in your blog posts will build up relationships with those people and help your readers at the same time.
Blog posts of this nature are really helpful for your team, particularly if you are writing about one of them, recognising a milestone in their marketing career. They will also build strength in your following.
4. Weekly “Something” Posts ( e.g.have a question day)
Blog posts of this nature can create eagerness to your content, whilst conditioning your subscribers. They will begin to look forward to them. I have seen successful bloggers who do this and it can create massive engagement , comments and new subscribers.
Your questions to your audience can also lead to more ideas for content for future blog posts. You could even think of packaging some of the questions and answers into a product.
5. Interview Posts
Doing interviews in your blog posts can build credibility for both parties, i.e. you and the person you are interviewing.
Sometimes you can get the person you interviewed to link back to your post, which can be powerful for you. Before you do an interview, email the person and ask permission. Be detailed in your correspondence and state what type of questions you will be asking.
You can use Skype and record the interview on Skype and afterwards upload it to You tube or some other provider. You could then have it transcribed using a service like rev.com. It could even be turned into a product.. Post about your A- HA moments during the interview. It is also polite to post a copy to the person you interviewed to check they are happy with the outcome of the interview. It will again, help you with your alliance with that person.
6. List Posts
List posts are popular and easy for your followers to read. For example:- 5 Fast Ways to Get Bikini Ready Before Summer
Using 3 -5 ways is best. They are highly shareable, the most opened of blog posts as most people will have their imagination captured by the headline. Again, these type of blog posts can be high engaging for your readers and lead to more comments.
Thats the #6 types of blog posts for you to consider when coming up with content for your blog. I hope its been helpful for you and gives you more ideas so that you don’t struggle any more. Feel free to leave me a comment below if you got some value.
